Long Weekend - Yeehaw!

I so need a weekend of sleep. Will I get it? Probably not, but at least I am going in to the long weekend with high expectations. I will probably end up staying out drinking until the wee hours every night. Wouldn't it be ironic if I ended up not remembering on the Rememberance Day weekend???

One other irony I found this week was the fact that China has issued a travel advisory for Vancouver due to the gang violence that seems to be happening in the city. Not to be racist, but so far all of the shootings have involved those of Asian and Indian descent. Maybe they just urge their most dangerous residents to emigrate here! I guess I shouldn't say too much about that considering that there are 2 Canadian men currently in custody for molesting children in Asia (I guess it goes both ways). I can't even say that because one of these pigs is in Canada now and was granted bail even though he is considered a high risk to reoffend (luckily the loser doesn't have the money to post bail...PHEW!) I love that he is allowed out on bail, but not allowed near any location where children might be...ummmm, isn't that everywhere??? Unless dude plans on spending the next 30 days waiting for his trial in a night club I am quite sure he will have the opportunity to run into children on a daily basis. Our justice system is seriously screwed!!

I digress.

Not sure what the plans are yet for this evening. I am supposed to be going out for a friend's birthday, but I am on the fence. I am taking her out tomorrow night already, so I may just save my pennies (and liver)tonight in order to go crazy tomorrow night. We are going to a newish restaurant that I have been wanting to try since it opened, so I am excited about that. The only problem is the executive chef is kind of slimey and has hit on me quite a few times (he used to work for a friend). I am sure he won't be out in the dining room anyway, so not too worried. I even went out and bought a lovely new dress for the evening. Tip: Bebe is selling everything at their American pricing, which means 33% off!!! I was in heaven!!! Also bought a lovely new black satin trench coat to die for!!

Sunday it looks like Kim will be in town, so the plan is to see her, but again, I may just do a one night weekend this weekend. We'll see how things play out.

Last night was another working evening and then I got convinced to go out and eat. I went because I finally convinced T to try my favorite restaurant in the city, which he loved (I knew he would). I was home by 8 and in bed by 9. A lovely Thursday (much tamer than the last 2!)

I am trying to keep my weekend somewhat unplanned in case I just decide I want to do nothing at all. If anyone believes that would ever happen you are pretty naive! hehe. Marky is in Cabo for a week, so I have a feeling Dale and I may be spending some time together in the next while.

Hopefully next time we meet I will be well-rested after sleeping in for 3 glorious days!
